CORRECTIONS POLICY

Last updated: July 24, 2026

HomeToolX is committed to correcting meaningful factual errors.

What May Be Corrected?

Corrections may involve:

  • Incorrect specifications
  • Wrong model numbers
  • Outdated availability
  • Compatibility errors
  • Misidentified accessories
  • Incorrect warranty information
  • Broken or misleading links
  • Misstated safety information
  • Incorrect attribution
  • Material calculation errors

How to Submit a Correction

Email corrections@hometoolx.com with:

  • The article URL
  • The statement in question
  • Your proposed correction
  • Supporting documentation
  • Relevant screenshots, when useful

Primary sources such as product manuals, official documentation, recall notices, and manufacturer statements are especially helpful.

How We Review Requests

Our editorial team may:

  1. Review the published statement.
  2. Examine the supplied evidence.
  3. Consult primary documentation.
  4. Contact a manufacturer or expert when necessary.
  5. Update, clarify, or retain the content based on available evidence.

A correction request does not guarantee that a change will be made.

Correction Notices

A visible correction note may be added when an error materially affected:

  • A recommendation
  • A rating
  • Product identification
  • Safety guidance
  • Compatibility
  • The reader’s interpretation

Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, and broken-link corrections may be made without a public note.

Article Updates Versus Corrections

An update reflects new information that became available after publication.

A correction addresses information that was inaccurate or misleading when published.

No Quiet Changes to Material Conclusions

When a significant error changes an article’s conclusion or recommendation, we aim to explain the correction clearly rather than silently replacing the information.
